What is the proper technique for applying a wax seal stamp?
Creating the perfect wax seal with Bortoletti equipment involves a few careful steps:
Apply the Wax: After melting your Bortoletti sealing wax, carefully drip the wax onto your envelope, invitation, or document. The wax should be thick enough to support a clear impression without being so hot that it smudges.
Stamping: Use your Bortoletti wax seal stamp—whether it’s made of wood, bronze, or glass—to press firmly into the wax. Hold the stamp in place for about 10–15 seconds. This waiting period allows the wax to partially set while still remaining pliable for a smooth imprint.
Cooling and Removal: Lift the stamp gently and allow the wax to fully cool on the paper. For an even crisper impression, you can pre‑chill your stamp by placing it for a few moments on a cool surface.
Enhancements: If desired, add a touch of our gold or silver highlighting cream over the wax after it has set to showcase intricate details.
This method ensures that each seal resonates with the quality and authenticity of our Bortoletti supplies.
