How to use the different kinds of dip pens?
Dip pens come in various forms, each with its own advantages. Traditional feather dip pens offer a classic feel for calligraphy, while glass dip pens or specialized nib holders can create unique artistic effects. Additionally, there are differences between straight nibs and oblique nibs—the latter being designed for angled writing to produce varied line thicknesses. We recommend experimenting on scrap paper: try dipping the nib into ink, adjusting the angle and pressure, and observing the line quality produced by each type. For more detailed instruction, our website features video tutorials and guides that explain techniques, cleaning procedures, and maintenance tips for every dip pen variety.
