This Faith Hope Love fountain pen was crafted from lignum vitae. The pen was matched with antique pewter fittings. The words Faith, Hope, and Love are intricately cast into the center band, the pen top features attractive cross designs and the braided rope detail reinforces the concept of trinity, and the pen clip that references the Fleur-de-lis. This pen comes with one ink refill, one ink pump / converter, and a #5 medium nib. The wood on this pen was finished with a rubbing oil / high speed friction polish.

***Lignum vitae is on the CITES Appendix II list and IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Trade of this wood is strictly controlled. The wood used for this pen was removed from a 100-year-old ship which was recently decommissioned (Doulos Phos) and was kept as spare parts for the stern tube repairs.

Lignum Vitae is regarded by most as the heaviest and hardest wood in the world. This wood has exceptional durability when submerged in water or in contact with the ground. Due to this durability, the wood was used for numerous parts during ship making. The wood is commonly used for tool handles, mallet heads, bearings, bushings, pulley wheels, and turned projects. Unfortunately Lignum Vitae has been over exploited and is now on the endangered species list. This particular wood was reclaimed and no trees were cut. Lignum Vitae is latin for tree of life or wood of life, which was derived from the tree's many medicinal uses.

All of the acrylic used for the bodies of these pens are handmade here at Provincial Mills. We use colors and color combinations that are not available to other pen makers. Every acrylic has its own unique swirl pattern which makes every pen different and one of a kind.

**We make several of these pens at one time. The pen you will receive will be the same colors but may have different swirls and patterns in it since every piece of acrylic is unique. The pen pictured is an example of the colors and how the acrylic / wood will look.

With every pen purchase you receive a gift box, certificate of authenticity, pen pouch, and our business information. With fountain pen purchases you also get one converter / ink pump, one ink cartridge, and fountain pen instructions. With our mechanical pencils you will also get instructions. We offer free USPS first class shipping on certain items. **Dragon pens do not come with a pen pouch due to their size.

The pens offered by Provincial Mills are handcrafted in the United States (Colorado). We stand behind the craftsmanship of our products 100%. If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us within 21 days and return the undamaged product within 30 days and we will refund the purchase price minus a 10% restocking fee (max restocking fee of $17.50). Returned items must be in the same condition as they were when shipped (no scratches, wear and tear, broken pieces ect.). Due to the nibs and ink used in fountain pens, the fountain pens must be unused if returned. Most woods and antler are finished with a CA glue coating which gives them a long-lasting shine and helps protect them. Depending on the material, some materials may be finished with a rubbing oil and high-speed friction polish. If the rubbing oil and high-speed friction polish is used, it will be stated in the pen description.

We offer free First Class shipping through the USPS on certain items. We do ship certain items or offer shipping upgrades for Priority Mail through the USPS. We also utilize Parcel select Ground through the USPS for packages that are too large for First Class. We can also add Signature confirmation to packages. If you would like Signature Confirmation, please let us know and we will add the charge ($2.45) to your order.

The USPS offers the following timelines as a guide (not guaranteed) for package delivery within the United States:

First Class Mail: 2-5 day
Parcel select Ground: 2-9 days
Priority mail: 1-3 days

We ship items next business day under most circumstances, but there are times when we are unable to ship orders the following day. If there will be a delay in shipment due to our shop being closed or we are away at a show, we will have a message posted on our "Shop Announcement" section of our home page (near the top of the page). During busy holiday seasons there are times when we are unable to ship next day.

Once the package is shipped you will be notified and furnished with a tracking number. We have seldom had any problems with lost packages shipped through the USPS. With that said, if your package is lost, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist with solving the problem.
